Mollington


is a small village of around 640 people situated approximately two miles north of the centre of Chester.  It is sandwiched between the A41 Chester-Liverpool and the A540 Chester-Hoylake roads and is bisected by the Shropshire Union canal.  It has a primary school, which it shares with its neighbours Lea-by-Backford and Backford, and a Pre-School.  Other shared facilities are the local church and Village Hall.  As well as these, Mollington has two 4-star hotels.

MEETINGS IN 2019

Meetings are held at St Oswald's Primary School or the village hall on the first Tuesday of every alternate month starting in January. However, we are thinking of increasing the frequency to say every 6 weeks.  See notice boards for more informaiton. The Annual Parish meeting is held in March.  The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council is in May.  Meetings usually start at 7.30 pm.

Litter, Fly tipping, Street Lights out?

Recently in a layby near the Finger Post, residents asked 2 men in a black car with trailer what they were doing. The men were polite and explained they were clearing litter when infact they were dumping carpets, underlay and wallpaper. If you notice any flying tipping incidents please let us know or you can report it online using West Cheshire and Chester web site.

Mollington Parish Annual Best Front Garden Competition - judging now on! Are you garden ready? Presentation of prizes for the three best gardens will take place at the Mollington Parish Council Meeting on 5 November.
