Essentially, now that Local Plan (two) has been adopted in July 2019, the only residential development allowed in villages like Mollington which are not on the defined list of rural settlements (key and local service centres), is infill which is defined in Local Plan (Part One) para 5.66 as “the filling of a small gap, up to two dwellings, in an otherwise built up frontage in a recognised settlement”.
